Job Description: Automotive Store Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our automotive store. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, implementing effective sales strategies, managing inventory, and leading a team of automotive technicians. The Automotive Store Manager will play a critical role in driving the store's success and maintaining its reputation as a trusted provider of automotive products and services.
Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:
- Hire, train, and motivate a team of automotive technicians to deliver exceptional customer service and meet or exceed sales targets.
- Set performance goals, monitor progress, and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and open communication.
2. Sales and Customer Service:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue, increase customer retention, and attract new customers.
- Provide superior customer service by promptly addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive products and services to effectively assist customers and recommend suitable solutions.
3. Store Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely orders and replenishments.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, ensuring effective utilization of space and resources.
4. Financial Management:
- Work closely with the Finance team to develop and monitor budgetary objectives, sales forecasts, and expense control measures.
- Analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory management, and key performance indicators for management review.
5. Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to automotive services, workplace safety, and environmental protection.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in automotive store management or a similar retail management role.
- Strong knowledge of automotive products, parts, and repair services.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in utilizing computer software and technology, including Point of Sale systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
